As one of the initial designs in the Bioscape Tropic range, my approach for the aquarium heater packaging was to establish a visual language that speaks to the essence of the tropical aquatic experience. The colour palette is a rich teal, reminiscent of the clear tropical seas, providing a vibrant backdrop for the intricate monochromatic line art that envelops the packaging.

I chose to showcase the heater front and centre on the packaging. This not only highlights the sleek design of the product but also underscores its functionality with a prominently displayed temperature dial. The addition of a red 'BONUS' tag was a strategic decision to communicate added value to the customer, a small detail that signals a bonus stick-on thermometer included with the heater.

On the back, I’ve organized the essential product details, balancing the technical with the accessible. The instructions and specifications are laid out in a manner that is easy for the consumer to follow, reflecting my commitment to creating a user-friendly experience from the shelf to the setup.

As this packaging was to debut the Bioscape Tropic line, it was important to me that it set the standard for the product range. When the box is constructed, the design maintains its integrity from every angle, inviting the customer to engage with the product through its visual storytelling.
